WOOD OL 4W (long wave)
WOOD OC 4W (short wave) - for FLOAT GLASS
The principle of utilization of these devices is based upon the capacity of a material to transform an ultraviolet radiation into a visible radiation.
This phenomenon is called "fluorescence".
This effect has particularly evidence if the visible component of the incident radiation is attenuated or suppressed using appropriate filters.
It's necessary to operate in a dark or in a little lighted room.
APPLICATIONS: mineralogy, philately, documents and banconotes analisys, food analisys (deterioration of foods, …) hygenic controls (cleaning of objects, contaminations…) and generally in all fields where the phenomena of fluorescence can give evidence to particulars invisible to the normal light (for example for the identification of the "tin-side" of the float glass)
